perspective

When reading the word it should come from not only a salvation perspective but a social perspective.

my generation has a warped view of evangelism because the generation before us left out an important part of the gospel- social justice.

my generation is really good at social justice, but it also needs to return to the important part of the gospel-evangelism. what does that look like to you...

salvations behind windows

hi friends and family! amsterdam has so far been epic. we have not only been learning about the reality of the sex industry and human trafficking around the world but have been visiting windows and have seen 3 salvations from the girls personally wanting a relationship with Jesus. what a thing to rejoice in. there is nothing like knowing Him fully for the first time in your life. that there is a man out there that loves them for their true identity. continue to pray for the girls in the windows as well as the pimps and traffickers that we reach out to as well.

amsterdam

i am so in awe of what God is doing ... He believes in me when i believe in Him.. haha. He is a good God.. if you haven't discovered His goodness.. step out in faith.. open that door.. take a chance.. He never leaves us nor forsakes us.

i finally found where i belong. in His presence .. in the secret place .. in that place, He leads me to go out to a hurting world..

today, i took a tour of the city with the 30 other students that are also doing the Shine Seminar.

you hear so much about the red light district.. a place that is obvious about what it does in secret as opposed to most of the rest of the world that does it in hiding..

shocking? eye opening? i guess in one sense.. in another it is shedding light on the fact that there is a problem.. and it doesn't end here in Amsterdam.. i am beyond ecstatic to learn about this issue.. and the knowledge that i will carry is not easy for anyone to hear or deal with unless they take it to God in prayer and in intercession and hopefully into action as well.

it is not an easy job to see what i will see and to see what i have already seen.. i know that.. but God has called me to do something that is bigger and greater than my own wants and desires.. but aligning what i want with what He wants.. and ultimately i want to see this eradicated through directing those in darkness to Jesus and His incredible love for them.

FLUFF LIFE?

is my life fluffy when i am in 0 temperatures prayer walking for hours? or handing out coffee and tea to strangers?

is my life fluffy when i walk into phone booths that smell like urine and am ripping off porn?

is my life fluffy when i go to a city knowing a total of 3 people..making new friends.. and asking those people if i can sleep on their couch?

i wouldn't describe it as fluffy.. i would, however CHOOSE joy in my circumstances.. and because i choose joy in a depressed and worn out city.. maybe that is the one thing that will break the spirit over it.. knowing my IDENTITY in a city that has no idea who it is..

not fluffy.. Kingdom minded..Kingdom thinking.. because i don't let my circumstances burden me or get me down does not mean my life is fluffy..

He has risen indeed

Easter is my favourite holiday because it not only reminds me of God's glorious son, Jesus. And that I can rejoice in the finished work of the cross. It is a joyous season indeed to continually chose to be in God's glory in the midst of trials.. I love Him a lot.

"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed"
