yes it has been the past few months a bit of a rollercoaster ride.. emotionally.. spiritually.. and quickly found that when you don't know exactly the direction of your life for some reason simple daily things become more challenging.. i have found that to be true. taking that step towards God means for me that i am saying to Him..i believe in you .. i trust in what you have for me.. i am going to follow you.. it changes things.. changes my direction and my purpose.. He gives hope and life..and i am thankful for all that He does..
He has been speaking to me about the future for the past year now and i am planning on doing ministry in LONDON for 2012!! more info is coming for sure.. here is a video link of 5 about London!

oh Lord . please light the fire .
oh lord your beautiful
your face is all i seek
and when your eyes are on this child
your grace abounds to me
i wanna take your word and shine it all around
first help me just to live it Lord
and when im doing well help me to never seek a crown
for my reward is giving glory to you
oh lord please light the fire
that once burned bright and clear
replace the lamp of my first love
that burns with holy fear
when you seek the Lord he will answer. no matter where your at or the point in your life.. he is there.. i was seeking God tonight.. just wanting to worship and love him and this song popped into my head. i listened to the Jesus culture version but then was reminded of who wrote it..keith green.. who i highly respect and is known for His passion and love for Jesus.
this song spoke to me in incredible ways. the Lord is soo beautiful.. He sees me as His child and a child that needs so much of His grace everyday. His grace does abound to me. i want to live His word first and foremost.. i need to live it.. and be able to shine His light all around
i have gone through different phases in my walk .. sometimes we have to step back in order to step forward and i know that is what is going on with me.
'and when im doing well help me to never seek a crown'.. i dont want to seek honor.. i dont want to seek a crown in what i am doing for God .. i want to do it solely for HIm and Him alone.. giving the glory back to him.
oh lord please light the fire .. that once burned bright and clear... replace the lamp of my first love.. that burns with holy fire..
that is my prayer.

proud to be an american
"Being an American is more than a matter of where you or your parents came from. It is a belief that all men are created free and equal." -Harry S. Truman
i love all nations that i have been to but its been awhile since i have been in my own.. and its good to be in the place i was born and raised in and get a fresh perspective of it.
after being in many places over the past 2 years.. i have had my fair share of people from other places letting me know about America and its faults and trying to understand their perspective.. agreeing with them at times and getting angry at times at their views... and as one person told me.. "America is like the popular kid at school.. no one really likes them but everyone secretly wants to be them" ha.
as i am home i see people that are genuine about their relationship with God.. about their gratefulness towards God's goodness.. i see americans professing God blessing them with so much and having an amazing outlook on life.. they never bash or complain about other nations but would love to go out and help other places and bless people with the same blessing they have been given.
Although Americans might have their faults and sometimes that is all other countries see (ie. wars.. hollywood.. healthcare.. tightening borders)..our faults are just highlighted because many are interested in knowing what they are. Americans have so many great outlooks on life and help other nations when they are in trouble in incredible ways. They want to do their part and for the most part are helping others in incredible ways. its encouraging to see and be around!
"Our founding documents proclaim to the world that freedom is not the sole prerogative of a chosen few. It is the universal right of all God's children." -Ronald Reagan

humble abode
its funny when you see someone for the first time in 2 years and they think that you have been just chillin in Australia... but really you've been delivering babies in africa and asia... surprise!
today i was able to see 3 of my girls that i mentored when they were in junior high .. its been 2 years since i saw them last and they were all incredibly beautiful and inspiring to see. one of them was sharing with me how she wanted to be a nurse and was sharing her testimony of God's faithfulness and grace. i was so encouraged by her and the maturity of her walk with God..wow!
i have been enjoying my time at home! although its had its challenges..its been really good to see people i love and care for that i havent seen in a long time. its also amazing to see the impact my stories have made on people i didn't even know read them. God has definetely given me grace and i have nothing to complain about. He is an amazing God that has blessed me in incredible ways. blessed me with a loving family, amazing friends, great community, beautiful place to grow up in, and the list goes on..
a few prayers you could throw up if you happen to read this-
*i live in a place where you need a car to get anywhere... so prayer for a car to borrow to be able to go to the places i need to get to for the next 2 months.
*affirmation and inspiration. that i would keep my eyes on what God has set before me
*finances. need to get a plane ticket soon to go back to perth (around $1500 round-trip)
*for the school i am planning to do in October and all that it takes to get there
*being inspired by others during my time home.

habits:
well.. i got home! the whole process of getting my plane ticket was a little crazy.. but it all worked out in the end which i am thankful for. i took Asiana Airlines and was a bit skepticle about this airlines since i have never really heard much about it.. but it actually turned out to be quite nice! besides the bad movie selections.
im realizing now how intense the past year has been for me as i am trying to get back on my feet in my own culture.. still stumbling but know that i need to seek God's wisdom on many things in my time at home..always a good idea.
there are many things i want to do when i am home. but wanting to do them and actually doing them are two different things. something as simple as running i find challenging because i havent gone running in a year and i dont think i even remember how to run.. how do i run? where do i run? what do i wear? these thoughts run through my head now that didn't run through my head before. i think simple things like running are challenging for me now because self motivation has been far from me for awhile now. DISCIPLINE! please knock on my door! God i need your help!

prayers :)
with ash, nay, amy and me (friends from my school last year)
i am in sydney at the moment visiting friends here and hoping to go home in a week! its been a bit of a transition.. going from bangladesh to perth .. staying in perth for a few weeks... and now being in sydney .. and hoping to go home soon and see family and friends i havent seen in a long time and catch some rays from sunny san diego!
if you could keep me in your prayers! i have just about enough for my plane ticket home but still need $200 asap since flight prices are going up every day. my family has been amazing and has really blessed me in helping with funds for me to come home.
on another note i would just like to add that i am so grateful for all that God is doing right now in my life and how he is really giving me a vision for the future and a plan and a desire to partner with Him in what he has spoken over me... i am excited to see everything unfold.
i am also excited to have this upcoming time at home with family and friends! bless you!

gnome news is good news.
ive been down in bunbury this week visiting my amazing friend mandy! its been pretty chilled out since im in a country town.. but today we did some exploring and discovered gnomesville.. i was ecstatic because i collect gnomes and have heard of this place from only one other person. it was a pretty epic experience. then we visited an old gold mine and the beautiful fields nearby with its ponies and trees.
im planning on heading to the east coast of Australia on sunday but keep hearing reports on the news of volcanic ash from chile delaying flights.. i really wasn't worried at all a few days ago when i heard about it, but theres still ash blowing all sorts of directions now so im more aware of the fact that i could be in perth longer than intended. praying my flight goes out as planned.
still needing some finances for flight home...praying for that to come in. yeah...i spent some much needed Jesus time this morning and read about the lost sheep... i have been feeling like that little lost sheep and God just kept reminding me of how much he loves me, holds me, looks after me...simple things that i often forget.
