april/ may update!!

Hello Family and Friends,

I have been so excited to let you know what has been happening here in Perth!

New News:
I have been in Perth, Australia now for 6 months on backbone staff serving in Hospitality. It’s been great to experience a new, slower way of living. I have learned and grown in so many different ways. Baking cakes and decorating them has been my favorite aspect of hospitality. There is always a cake to decorate for someone, learning a bit about that person and what they like. Valuing the individual has been my favorite part of it all. The time has come now for me to move on to a new ministry!

I will be joining a ministry called Faces 58. It is a ministry that works to embrace a suburb and see faces change. Whole neighborhoods are affected as the Holy Spirit comes in power to individuals. We partner with the local church to initiate community-based creative projects. Our bottom line is evangelism and discipleship.
The past few weeks I have been in a transition stage from one ministry to another. I worked in the kitchen for a week, worked in property for a week, and was on holiday with a friend two hours south of Perth in a little town called Busselton, for another week.
Since being here i have really grasped the concept of how to give more of myself and have begun to slow down and look at the people I work with and to love how God has created me and what I have to offer those around me.
I will be in Faces 58 till the end of June and then I will plan on starting a school in July which I am excited to share about!

The Birth Attendant School (B.A.S.):
Every year Perth YWAM base runs a school called the Birth Attendant School which I am planning on doing at the beginning of July. I will be trained and equipped in basic midwifery skills. And also discover God's passion and love for those who are oppressed, specifically working in developing nations. I will assist in delivering babies, interceding for them through prayer, worship, and proclaiming truth over them. Some countries are highly uneducated in the area of child labor and there are many deaths because of lack of nurses, knowledge and education in these poorer and more rural areas. This school has gone to India, Africa, the Middle East, the Islands and many other nations. I will be going to a few of these areas of the world this next year, though, don’t know exactly where yet. To be honest, I would have never seen myself doing this school before, but know that God has spoken clearly for me to do it. As each day draws closer, the more I get excited about what I am going to be able to be apart of and experience. I am a firm believer and advocate in life and helping with life coming into this world through prayer and action, so there is no doubt in my mind why God spoke for me to do this school.

Thankyou so much for reading and if you have any questions, comments or want to chat, please send me an email at-
