inspired

my friend kelli inspires me with her art. she does what she loves! :)

testimony of Gods provision!

i got all my money in for the flight an hour before the deadline of purchasing the tickets! just wanted to say thankyou to all those that prayed!

i had one donation back home of $300 from a friend i hadnt talked to in 5 years! another donation of $200 from a friend who just finished a dts (discipleship training school) here! there were smaller donations as well that made the full amount come in!

lecture fees was $3900. the full amount came in 2 weeks ago.
outreach flight cost was $2890. the full amount came in yesterday!

most of the team got the money in which is around 20 people including 3 families. only 2 girls were not able to get it in by the time the flight was due and we are still praying that the money would come in for them.

i like to brag about what God has done! He is good.

my classroom!

a few tid bits i learned this week...

Morality of young infant Babies

*babies aged 6 months have already developed a strong moral code, according to psychologists at Yale Uni.
They may barely able to sit up, let alone crawl or talk, but researchers say they can still tell the difference between good and evil.
An astonishing series of experiments is challenging the view that human beings are born as “blank slates” and that morality is shaped by our experiences.
They suggest that concepts of good and bad may be hard wired into the brain at birth.
In an experiment using puppets, 6 month old babies show a strong preference for “good” helpful characters and rejecting unhelpful “naughty” ones.
They react to anything that is not kind, so they would reject the naughty ones and know the nice ones.
The first 2 years. Kids born with moral compass. How long does it take for their moral compasss to be misplaced? What happens in the first 2 years is huge. When there is firm discipline, the moral compass can be reinforced. You need strong guidelines around them.

all of this information i find to be incredibly interesting to my presupposed ideas in this area and beneficial to know as well. life is valuable not matter what stage of life we are at.

God .. The amazing provider

It is my 7th week into the birth attendant school and I have learned an incredible amount of wisdom from speakers, from leaders and from other students and staff. I am challenged day in and day out in really knowing what it means to follow Christ. For me to live is Christ (who was crucified!) once again being reminded of who He is, being retaught about His amazing character and His incredible love for me and those around me.

Since the beginning of the school I had been needing $3900 which was the cost of the lecture phase. I let people know back home my need and I have to thank God because the last of that amount came in yesterday! It was an incredible blessing and just shows how faithful God is to what He calls us to do!

Outreach!!

The lecture phase is coming to a close in a few weeks and we will be going on outreach September 25th. I will be needing $8,000 for this part. I have already had one person from my team give me $500! This will cover costs for the next 9 months as we deliver babies and educate women in areas of healthcare in Tanzania, India and Bangladesh. I will need $3000 in 3 weeks which will cover the cost of the plane tickets.

It has been a battle through prayer to get lecture fees in and feel like God really provided and He wants to provide for this next bit as well without delay!

If God puts it on your heart to give here is the easiest way to do so!

Global Health

The topic this week: Global Health

Poverty is the biggest discriminators in regard to health. We will always have the poor with us. Well then lets begin to help them, and when we begin to help, we want to help more and more because we see how great the need is.

3 most important things in the health of a community:

1. Clean water
2. Sanitary disposal of waste
3. Literacy of women

“we are like termites, not being seen but getting on with the work.” in the area of healthcare for developing nations, what we do is about getting the work done and helping people in incredible ways along the way. Its not necessarily about getting all the fancy degrees and money which isnt wrong at all but can hold people back from thinking that there is only one way to help others and be effective .

there are many ways to help others and learning basic skills to do so. there is freedom in knowing this and seeing and hearing stories of how lives and health in communities have changed through people who want to educate and have the heart for the community to change for the better. I love learning about this topic. its educating, insightful, convicting and shows me how much i have to offer.

the birth attendant school

an amazing opportunity to learn, teach and be with women at one of the most important moments in their life. the birth of their child. helping, praying, interceding, loving...

God has given me this opportunity to do this year long school.

i am in my 5th week and have been learning stuff that i never knew before but i am loving learning about the body and how woman have been given the gift of being able to bring life into the world.

------------------
BLESSINGS.

In July i was incredibly blessed to be given the opportunity to do the school. i had people back home want to support what i am doing without even knowing that much about it but believing in what they are giving into and their inheritance. my lecture fees were covered through people pledging to give the amount that i needed.

I am blessed to know incredible women (world changers) who i will be working alongside for the next year, helping bring life into the world.

I am blessed to know that God chose me to do this school in this time.

-------------------
PRAYER.

Learning. that i would grasp the information and knowledge and understand it fully.

Finances. i will need $7500 for my outreach fees by September 25th. nervous about this but know that God has provided for me so far and its always been miraculous in the way that he provides and people that i dont expect to give, give. i am expecting and hoping and believing in a financial miracle. God is faithful to me everytime i seek Him, everytime i am in need He provides.

--------------------
thankyou for reading. you guys are amazing and a blessing to me. i hope i can be the same to you.

God bless you
